BMW

BMW is a leading automotive manufacturer in the world. In 2016 BMW, Audi and Mercedes purchased HERE Maps to have more control over their navigation systems. Shortly after the purchase I was hired by BMW.

Originally hired as the only internal UX designer in Munich on the app team, I grew the team and redesigned multiple apps. For the first three years this included working closely with a team in Chicago. Later, working in step with teams in Portugal, China, Brazil and the USA.

As the Lead UX Design Manager I am responsible for both the Framework and the Vehicle Functions of the MyBMW, MINI & M Lap Timer apps. Including all regions globally. This means I lead a team of designers that directly work with multiple teams responsible for Engineering and Business aspects of the apps. These apps are extremely complex under the hood and yet a joy to use. I am very proud of the work we have done to make these the top apps in our industry.
